Field GuideHow long does Windshield Protection Film last?+
PPF Innovation Windshield Protection Film is supplied with a 1-year warranty. Service life can vary with climate, driving conditions, wiper condition, cleaning habits and the frequency of impact exposure. Regular inspection by an authorized installer helps maintain the best optical result.
How should I clean and maintain the film?+
Wash the protected windshield with a clean, soft microfiber towel and a pH-neutral automotive glass or car-wash product. Rinse loose grit first, then use light pressure. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents, aggressive polishing compounds and scraping tools on the protected surface.
Daily care protocol
Field GuideCan I use windshield wipers as normal?+
Yes. Keep wiper blades clean and replace them when they become worn, hardened or contaminated. Damaged wiper blades can trap grit and increase surface abrasion. Avoid running wipers on a dry, dusty windshield whenever possible.
Can I take my vehicle through an automatic car wash?+
A touchless wash is preferred. If using any wash system, avoid brushes or equipment that may hold grit against the glass. Do not direct a high-pressure nozzle closely at film edges; keep a safe distance and use a wide spray pattern.
Will light scratches disappear?+
The hydrophobic self-healing top coat is designed to help fine surface marks recover with gentle heat. For visible damage, impact marks or changes in clarity, do not use excessive heat or abrasive correction; consult your authorized PPF Innovation installer for an assessment.
When can I wash the windshield after installation?+
Follow the curing guidance from your installer, as temperature and humidity affect bonding time. During the initial curing period, avoid aggressive cleaning, high-pressure water close to the edges and any attempt to lift or trim the film.
